The Carnival Continues For Five Star Juventus – Italian ‘Serie A’ Football FanCast 149

The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio.

On this edition of the Italian Football FanCast, Dov Schiavone, Ogo Sylla, Clark Stupple and Serie A Weekly’s Ryan Ross, plus special guest Giancarlo Rinaldi.

The issues tackled this week include a look at Juventus’ return to form in their five-goal rout of Fiorentina. We touch upon the repercussions for La Viola and how they will bounce back from what can only be described as humiliation.

Also, with Mirko Vucinic back to form, what will the win mean for the Bianconeri’s Scudetto challenge?

We also cast our eye over another victory for AC Milan, this time over Parma but once more inspired by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who can even be a genius when he stands still.

Meanwhile, Udinese and Napoli played out a fantastic match at the Stadio Friuli on Sunday evening, with Edinson Cavani showing a touch of class, and Diego Fabbrini possibly costing his side victory.

Elsewhere, Roma earned another win, this time at home to Genoa, which leaves then well placed to make a late surge for the Champions League spots. In addition Pablo Osvaldo looks to be returning to some sort of form.

Inter continued their poor run of form with a disappointing 0-0 draw at the San Siro with Atalanta. Andrea Consigli was in fine form as well as Manolo Gabbiadini, who could have a bright future in Serie A.

All this and a whole lot more will be answered in this weeks show, plus we have Kevin Tarbuck who will bring us all up-to-date on the happenings in Serie B.

What The F**k Are You Looking At? – Italian ‘Serie A’ Football FanCast 148

The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio.

On this edition of the Italian Football FanCast, Dov Schiavone, Ogo Sylla, Padraig Whelan and podcast debutant Richard Hinman.

The issues tackled this week include a look at Inter’s victory over Chievo as Claudio Ranieri looked to have turned a corner only to be brought crashing back down to earth in the Champions League as Marseille dealt the Nerazzurri a hammer blow in the closing minutes. What next for the manager and the club?

We also cast our eye over another disappointing draw for Juventus, this time away to Genoa. In a match where Antonio Conte’s men had 30 shots on target, the Bianconeri called a ‘silenzio stampa’ in the wake of some controversial refereeing decisions

Meanwhile, Lazio decided not to take advantage of the result at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, instead they pressed the self destruct button and succumbed to a 3-1 home defeat to Bologna, finishing the game with just nine men.

Elsewhere, Roma earned a win away at Palermo with youngster Fabio Borini once again the star of the show for Luis Enrique’s side while AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit the headlines not only for his brilliant performance against Lecce, but also for his post match antics involving a female journalist.

Siena continued their rise from the bottom, but there is more woe for Fiorentina who were defeated away at Catania and Napoli produced a six-star performance at the San Paolo as Cagliari were blown away by the Parentopei who go into their Champions League match with Chelsea in sumptuous form.

All this and a whole lot more will be answered in this weeks show, plus we have Kevin Tarbuck who will bring us all up-to-date on the happenings in Serie B.

Cuchu Ain’t Holding Back The Tears Anymore – Italian ‘Serie A’ Football FanCast 147

The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio.

On this edition of the Italian Football FanCast, Dov Schiavone, Udinese correspondent Enzo Misuraca, AC Milan correspondent Rajath Kumar and Lazio correspondent Ben Lally.

The issues tackled this week include a look at AC Milan’s disastrous match against Arsenal in the Champions League which say the Gunners come within one goal of taking the game into extra-time. Who was to blame for the Rossoneri’s shoddy performance and which players deserve plaudits… if any?

We also cast our eye over Chievo’s magnificent point at the Juventus Stadium, where Antonio Conte’s men again failed to see off so-called weaker opposition.

Meanwhile, Lazio took on Roma in the Derby della Capitale and it was a fiery affair. We had penalties, dismissals and the odd spot of racist abuse. All part and parcel of the fiercest rivalry in the peninsula.

Elsewhere, Inter could only salvage a 2-2 with Catania at the San Siro and at one point were two goals down. Where does this leave Claudio Ranieri and will he last till the end of the season?

Lecce once more managed to gain a valuable point at home, this time against Genoa, and with Siena also winning we take a look at this ding-dong battle at the bottom.

All this and a whole lot more will be answered in this weeks show, plus we have Kevin Tarbuck who will bring us all up-to-date on the happenings in Serie B.
